Fehmarnbelt · Rail Hinterland Connection
Schedule and risk coordination for the German Fehmarnbelt rail connection.
01Project context
Planning the rail connection.
My work at DB InfraGO concerns Lübeck and planning approval sections 1.1 and 1.2 of the German Fehmarnbelt rail connection. Project controls bring the parallel planning activities into a coordinated basis for construction preparation.
The task
Design, approvals and construction preparation often run in parallel. The schedule must reflect how these activities depend on one another, while making changes and emerging risks clear to everyone involved.
02My responsibilities
The responsibilities described here were carried out within the named organisation and project team.
- 01
Develop and align Microsoft Project schedules, tracking milestones and dependencies between planning stages.
- 02
Combine schedule, cost, risk and planning information into reports that inform project decisions.
- 03
Coordinate inputs from internal disciplines, external designers and construction partners, including work needed to prepare sites for construction.
Methods & tools
Deliverables
- Coordinated schedules and project reports for Lübeck, PFA 1.1 and PFA 1.2.
- Planning coordination and construction-preparation information for these areas.

An overview of corridor areas and project sections between Lübeck and Fehmarn, not a list of train stops. My responsibilities concern this German rail connection; the Fehmarnbelt tunnel is a separate project.
